After many years working as a field biologist and college biology teacher, I left that career in 2000 to pursue art and music. For the last 15 years I have taught African style marimba and drumming to kids ages 8-17. Out of this teaching arose two performing youth bands. I have also been a member of four regional African style marimba performing bands, including one I started one myself.
Since 2001 I have pursued metal working as a jeweler, selling around the area at festivals. In addition, I am a painter, mostly with acrylics and ink and sell around town. And lately I have expanded into graphic and web design. I recently received a degree in Visual Communications and now am freelancing in web design and development.
